Booking FAQs

  When should I book a balloon flight?

  We recommend booking as early as possible, especially if you’re planning to fly on a weekend, during school holidays or busy travel periods. Balloon flights are popular and can sell out quickly, particularly sunrise experiences where conditions are ideal. Early booking also increases your chance of securing your preferred date and location.

  Tip: Weekends and special occasions tend to fill first, so if you have specific dates in mind, booking weeks or months ahead is safest.

  Can I change my booking date?

  Yes. You can reschedule your flight if your plans change, but certain conditions apply:

  • Between 72 hours and 7 days: You can reschedule with no extra fees.
  • Within 48 hours of departure: No cancellations or changes are permitted. A cancellation fee of $25 per person applies for cancellations outside of 72 hours.

  Do flights book out on weekends?

  Yes – weekend flights are very popular and can book out faster than weekday flights, especially during peak seasons like school holidays, long weekends and special events. For the best chance of securing your preferred date, we recommend booking well in advance.

  What happens after I complete my booking?

  Once your booking is completed and payment is processed, you will immediately receive a booking confirmation email from our booking system, including your booking reference and flight details.

  From there, you can expect the following communication leading up to your experience:

  • One week before your flight: You’ll receive a reminder email letting you know your ballooning experience is coming up, along with helpful pre-flight information.
  • 72 hours before your flight, another email will be sent for you to check we have all the correct contact details on file.
  • The morning prior to your flight: We’ll send a further email with important details to help you prepare. This will include your pilots contact number.
  • The evening before your flight: Your pilot will send you an SMS or WhatsApp confirming final arrangements, including the exact meeting time and location.

  On the morning of your flight, we meet approximately 1.5 hours before sunrise at the dedicated meeting point for your chosen location, before travelling together to the launch site.

  Because ballooning is weather-dependent, final details are confirmed close to the flight to ensure the safest and best possible experience.

  How do I book using a promo code?

  If you have a promo code, you can enter it at checkout when booking directly on our website. Promo codes like those offered through partners will apply the discount automatically when entered correctly before you pay.

  Please Note: Promo codes must be entered before finalising your booking – you can’t apply them retroactively after payment. Some codes may also have specific terms like travel date ranges or minimum numbers.

  Will I receive a booking confirmation email?

  Yes! Once your booking is complete and payment is processed, you will receive an instant booking confirmation email with:

  • Booking reference number starting with “R”
  • Flight date, time and location
  • Price and details of who’s flying including full names and weights
  • Any special instructions or requirements you have noted

  If you don’t see it in your inbox, please check your spam/junk folder or contact us so we can resend it. We ask for you to check this information correctly and advise if anything is incorrect.
